Legionella Control and Management

Legionella covers a range of naturally occurring water-borne bacteria that can multiply in man-made water systems and, when inhaled as aerosols, cause illnesses.  One of these illnesses is Legionnaire’s disease, fatal in 13% of cases.

Owners and managers of commercial, industrial, educational and healthcare premises are required to prevent and control the risk of Legionella, as far as reasonably practicable. To assist, HSE guidance is available here. We can help with risk assessments, awareness training, system schematics, log books, sampling and analysis. We can also provide practical, cost-effective advice on designing and commissioning water systems and management procedures to reduce the risk of Legionella.
